1. Who we are

This website, notes.bookwithteachers.com, is operated by Book With Teachers India Pvt Ltd (“Book With Teachers”, “we”, “us”, “our”), with its office at B-503/504 Vertex Vikas, B-Wing, Andheri East, Mumbai, Maharashtra 400069, India.

We sell Top 10 Pass Notes – digital PDF study material – for University of Mumbai TY Semester V students of TYBA, TYBCom, BMS and TYBSc Chemistry. For the purposes of the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (“DPDP Act”), we are the Data Fiduciary for the personal data described in this policy.

This policy explains what personal data we collect when you visit this website, place an order, contact us on WhatsApp or pay online, and how we use and protect it. By using this website you agree to this policy.

2. What we collect

Information you give us

We do not collect or store your full card number, CVV, UPI PIN, net-banking password or other payment credentials. These are entered in Razorpay's secure payment window and handled only by Razorpay and your bank.

Your order details are stored in a private order database on our web server, which only our authorised team can access with a password.

Information collected automatically

When you visit the website, Meta Pixel automatically collects technical information. This includes your IP address, device type, browser, operating system, approximate location (city level), the pages you view, the ad or website that brought you here, and actions you take on the page, such as tapping “Buy Now” or starting checkout. 3. How we use your data

• To deliver your notes: to confirm what you ordered, confirm payment and give you the download links for your course.
• To talk to you about your order: to send your order confirmation and download link by email (if you gave one), WhatsApp or phone, and to answer your questions.
• To verify payments and prevent fraud: to confirm each payment with Razorpay before giving download access, and to block misuse of the order form and download links.
• To improve our website and advertising: to understand which pages, ads and offers are useful to students, and to show relevant ads on Facebook and Instagram.
• To meet legal obligations: to keep invoices and accounting records required under tax and company law, and to respond to lawful requests from authorities.

We do not use your personal data for any purpose that is not listed here without asking you first.

4. Consent and legal basis

We process your personal data on the basis of your consent, which you give when you fill in the order form, message us or pay. We also process it for legitimate uses allowed under Section 7 of the DPDP Act, for example when you voluntarily share details with us to buy notes, or when we must keep records to comply with law.

You may withdraw your consent at any time by writing to us (see Section 13). Withdrawing consent does not affect processing done before you withdrew it. If you withdraw consent before your notes are delivered, we may not be able to complete the order.

5. Who we share it with

We do not sell or rent your personal data. We share it only with the following, and only as much as each one needs:

Some of these providers may store or process data outside India. Where they do, we rely on their safeguards and comply with any transfer restrictions notified under the DPDP Act.

6. Cookies and tracking

Cookies are small files saved by your browser. We do not use our own cookies to identify you. The following third-party tools set cookies or use similar technology:

• Meta Pixel: records visits and actions such as viewing the page, starting an order or contacting us on WhatsApp. This helps us measure our Facebook and Instagram ads and show them to people likely to find them useful. Meta may link this to your Facebook or Instagram account under Meta's own terms.

Your choices:

• Block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The website will still work.
• Control the ads Meta shows you in Facebook Ad Preferences.

7. How long we keep it

• Order details (name, mobile, course, payment record): for as long as needed to deliver your notes and handle support, and after that for the period required by Indian tax and accounting laws, currently up to 8 years for invoices and books of account.
• WhatsApp and email conversations: up to 2 years after your last order or message, unless they form part of an order record.
• Analytics data: according to Meta's retention settings.

When data is no longer needed, we delete it or make it anonymous.

8. How we protect it

The website is served only over encrypted HTTPS. Payments go through Razorpay, which is PCI-DSS compliant. Access to order details is limited to team members who need it to fulfil orders, and we use reasonable security practices as required under the Information Technology Act, 2000 and its rules.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. If a personal data breach occurs that affects you, we will inform you and the Data Protection Board of India as required by law.

Beware of fraud: we will never ask for your card number, CVV, UPI PIN or OTP on WhatsApp or by phone. Only pay through the Razorpay checkout on this website or a link sent from our official numbers, +91 90295 51111 or +91 98332 11999.

9. Your rights

Under the DPDP Act, you have the right to:

• Access: ask for a summary of the personal data we hold about you and how we use it.
• Correction: ask us to correct or complete inaccurate data, such as a wrong email address.
• Erasure: ask us to delete your data, unless we must keep it by law (for example, invoice records).
• Withdraw consent at any time.
• Grievance redressal: raise a complaint with our Grievance Officer.
• Nominate another person to exercise your rights in case of your death or incapacity.

To use any of these rights, write to bookwithteachers@gmail.com from the email address or WhatsApp number linked to your order. We may ask you to confirm your identity before acting on your request. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

10. Students under 18

Our notes are meant for TY degree students, who are usually 18 or older. If you are under 18, please ask a parent or guardian to place the order or give their consent before you share your details with us. If we learn that we have collected data from a person under 18 without a parent's consent, we will delete it. We do not use data of persons under 18 for targeted advertising or behavioural tracking.

11. Other websites

This website links to other services such as WhatsApp and Razorpay. Their own privacy policies apply once you leave our website, and we are not responsible for how they handle your data.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top shows when it last changed. If we make important changes, we will show a notice on this website.

13. Grievance Officer and contact

If you have any question, request or complaint about your personal data, contact our Grievance Officer. We will acknowledge your complaint within 24 hours and aim to resolve it within 15 days.

This policy is governed by the laws of India. Any dispute is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Mumbai, Maharashtra.
